It's that time of year again folks. The time of year when many of us actually take a moment around a table of yummy things to consciously be thankful for the blessings of our lives. I kinda think we all need to do that a lot more often.... like every day....all day long. But we don't do that very well, do we?
So here we are a few days before Thanksgiving and I am gonna share with you some of the things on my list. Just 'cause.... Ok, here we go.
I'm thankful I woke up today. Each day on earth is a blessing. One more day to try to get things right. One more day too be the best mom I can be. Or daughter, or friend. One more day to look our kids in the eyes and pour love into their little hearts. Thank you God.
I'm thankful the "artic vortex" has moved on. For now. This is Montana, there will be another one soon. But the break is nice. It's above freezing during the day this week. No more frozen stock waterers. Thank you God.
I'm thankful for my friends. No, like really thankful. The friends we have in our lives can be like a family, except that we get to pick 'em! In that department I am ridiculously blessed.. Old friends, new friends, friends that I am actually related to. My life is rich because of them. We laugh with each other, cry with each other, (sometimes the ugly cry!) and hold each other up under the weight of this life that is at times so very heavy. What would we do without these other souls who share our lives? Thank you God for putting them in mine.
I'm thankful for coffee. 'Nough said.
I'm thankful that I don't have to worry about having enough of what we need to be comfortable and have some to share with those that don't. I'm thankful my children are growing up learning how good it feels to share with others who haven't had it so easy. We never know what path life will take us down. If we are on a path that's easier than other's, let's see what we can do to help them. Is there someone around you that could benefit from sharing your family table this Thursday? Do it! Ask them to join you and share the blessings of this life. Thank you God.
I'm thankful for men in white, button up shirts and square toed cowboy boots. Yum! Thank you God.
I'm thankful that God made me the crazy, creative, big hearted, sometimes short tempered, at times overly optimistic, somewhat audacious, farmgirl that I am. And I know he keeps workin' on me. Thank you God.
I'm thankful to live in a place where I can see the sky full of bright, shiny stars. no light pollution in my little part of this world. Or noise pollution. Or really much pollution at all. Thank you God.
Well, I better sign off before I start to bore you. Just want to say I am also thankful for YOU! The peeps that take the time to read my silly, little blog. Thank you for letting me share my thoughts with you. Until we meet again.....
Now go make something beautiful. And be thankful.
